Quick answers.
Does my image get uploaded to a server?
No. The removal runs entirely inside your browser using an ONNX model that downloads on first use (~30MB, cached after). Your design never leaves your device — important if you sell on Etsy and care about IP.
How long does it take?
First run downloads the AI model — that takes 10-30 seconds depending on your connection. Every run after is 1-3 seconds per image on a modern laptop.
What formats are supported?
PNG, JPG, and WebP up to 10MB. The output is always a transparent PNG, ready to drop into Hauld for product photo generation, Etsy listings, mockups, or print-on-demand.
Is the result good enough for product use?
Yes — the model is the same family used by Remove.bg-style commercial tools (U2Net / RMBG). For complex hair or transparent objects you may need a manual touch-up in Photoshop / GIMP, but for logos, clean product shots, and bold designs it is publication-ready.
Why offer this for free?
Because Hauld's main product (AI lifestyle photos, 10 free a month) works best when your design has a clean transparent background. Clean input = better generations = happier customers.
